What are cookies? Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your computer, phone, or tablet when you browse the internet. Cookies may contain text or binary data.

The main purpose of cookies is to improve the user experience on a website.

If you choose to block or delete cookies, you may receive less relevant advertisements or see them more frequently. You may also encounter issues accessing certain content or using the website optimally.

If you wish to avoid cookies: You can block all cookies from woodme.dk by selecting “advanced cookie settings” in your browser’s internet settings. Add www.woodme.dk to the list of websites from which you do not want to receive cookies. In the internet settings, you can also delete other cookies that your browser has saved.

Types of cookies: There are three types of cookies:

  • First-party cookies: These are cookies that the website you are visiting stores on your computer.

  • Third-party cookies: These are cookies that third-party programs, such as Facebook and Google Analytics, store. Like first-party cookies, they are not harmful in any way.

  • Session cookies: These are temporary cookies that are deleted when you leave the website.

Woodme uses the following types of cookies:

  • Measurement of user behavior (Google Analytics, Facebook, and WordPress) to improve the website and enable targeted marketing (Third-party cookie)

  • Optimization of the user experience on the website (First-party cookies and Session cookies)

Payment details

The authorized payment system provider Lunar handles payment information for goods purchased. When you enter your card number, expiry date, and CVC code in woodme.dk’s webshop, the data is transferred to Lunar in encrypted form. Encryption provides a high degree of security that unauthorized persons cannot access the information. Woodme does not save payment information (card number, expiry date, and CVC code).

Personal Information

In general

Personal information is any information that can be attributed to you to some extent. When you use our website, we collect and process a number of such information. This happens, for example, when you access content, sign up for our newsletter, participate in competitions or surveys, register as a user or subscriber, use services, or make purchases via the website.

We typically collect and process the following types of information: a unique ID and technical information about your computer, tablet, or mobile phone; your IP number; geographic location; and which pages you click on (interests). To the extent that you give explicit consent and provide the information yourself, we also process the following: name, telephone number, email, address, and payment information. This typically happens when you create a login or make a purchase.

Security

We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, degraded, or accessed by unauthorized persons, misused, or otherwise processed in violation of the law.

Purpose

The information is used to identify you as a user and show you ads that are likely to be relevant to you, register your purchases and payments, and provide you with the services you have requested, such as sending a newsletter. In addition, we use the information to optimize our services and content.

Storage period

The information is kept for the period of time permitted by law, and we delete it when it is no longer necessary. The storage period depends on the nature of the information and the basis for storage. Therefore, it is not possible to specify a general time frame for when information is deleted.

Disclosure of information

Data about your use of the website, which advertisements you receive and possibly clicks on, geographic location, gender and age segment, etc. disclosed to third parties to the extent that this information is known. You can see which third parties are involved in the section on “Cookies” above. The information is used for advertising targeting.

We also use a number of third parties to store and process data. These only process information on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

Dissemination of personal data such as name and e-mail etc. will only happen if you consent to it. We only use data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with sufficient protection.

Insights and complaints

You have the right to be informed about which personal data we process about you. You can also object to the use of information at any time. You can also revoke your consent for information about you to be processed. If the information processed about you is incorrect, you have the right to have it corrected or deleted.
